About the Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center

The exceptional quality of care provided at Goryeb Children’s Hospital at Morristown Medical Center is designed to make a child’s hospital visit the best it can possibly be. Family involvement in every child’s diagnosis and treatment is key to the child’s healing process.  We work with a team of Child Life professionals who specialize in child development, and promote effective coping through play, preparation, education and self-expression activities.  They use daily psychosocial assessments for each pediatric, critical care and pediatric emergency department patient to assist children and their families in understanding and managing the hospital experience.  By using age-appropriate education, preparation and supportive activities, they strive to minimize that stress and help children and their families cope positively with their health care experience.
